At my workplace I can also see that for FortiClient there's no internet connectivity.
I also want to add that I was able to connect it from my home successfully with the same version of FortiClient and OS but not from my work place. I have another observation that when I connect, I can see that the 'Bytes received' field increases to some extent and then stops, but 'Bytes Sent' increases to much greater extent as can be seen in the image below. I have googled and found the following links which I found most appealing and followed it but all in vain. But when I try to ping the server, I am not able to connect it.
When I connect through the FortiClient (version 4.3.5.472) on my windows 7 32-bit system, it shows connected. 1 user can see 'Connect' button problem:P.I am trying to connect to a remote server through FortiClient for an SSL VPN connection. You are right new version has no bug same as all olds but all of version can be used with Fortinet Switch so if another IT Admin was installed switch with a diff version of FortiClient so all Win 8.
This Connect button works same as FortiClient SSLVPN (Which was installed with WebPortal) profile connection so after you fix your Fortissl adapter problem 'Connect' button will work. Try to connect your VPN with FortiClient SSLVPN and probably it will work so after one more reboot you can enable plugin and using WebPortal 'Connect' button. I checked its properties and general connect using real adapter is missing because on Webportal installation FortiClient can not match virtual adapter and real adapter corrctly:( This is a bug!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On Command Prompt netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt netsh winsock reset Reboot your OS Problem comes with PPPoP WAN Adapter can work with Fortissl adapter correctly after reboot please check your Fortissl adapter and disable your IE Fortinet plugin. Hello guys I fixed this problem I tried FortiClient SSLVPN which was installed with Fortinet Web portal so I watched it with Wireshark and I saw my virtual Fortissl adapter not working correctly. 17207 FortinetClient SSLVPN v Fortinet says this version supports Win8,Win8.1 but it is NOT.%uFEFF. This 'Connect' button problem probably comes with Win 8.1 OS Fortinet because If I use virtual machine below my Win 8.1 machines I can connect VPN tunnel on vm?*:( I sent some mails to Fortinet but they didn't answer me: I create a topic on Technet and some people have seen same problem on their Win 8.1 OS. Problem probably comes with OS but anybody use Win8.1 with fortinet vpn client (w/portal)? Hello Jim I tried to connect with different Win 8.1 圆4 machines and I saw the same problem still exist on them. If I try to click 'connect' button on my win8 laptop there is nothing on done there?! I start my vmware wst win7 on win8 laptop and I try to connect fortinet vpn and wala it works as charm:( I sent some messages tofortinet but they didn't send any feedback to me. Ahmet COSKUN wrote: hello all I have the same problem too. A side note, I have IE configured to delete files when IE is closed, but this issue still happens from time to time. When the connect button doesn't work for me, I delete the temp IE files then restart the computer. This allows users to connect to the resources on the portal page while also connecting to the VPN through FortiClient. Go to VPN >SSL-VPN Portals to make sure that the option to Limit Users to One SSL-VPN Connection at a Time is disabled.
Users are unable to download the SSL VPN plugin.
